Old Orkney Trip

Recently P7 dressed up in Old Orkney costume and visited the ruin of Langalour at Redland in Firth. There were interesting stories to be told.
Mr Bichan had learned these from the late Mr Scott, who used to live at Redland.

Here we all are outside the ruin.

We then went to Corrigall Farmhouse Museum. Here are photogarphs of us doing various activities there, ending with a ceilidh in the barn.

  2. I enjoyed the trip to Redland, and the story about the baby that Mr Bichan told us. Pity it rained at Corrigall but the Ceilidh was great fun! I also enjoyed making the straw ropes. You all did well carrying the water in buckets around your shoulders. Pity you didn't get to wash clothes using wash boards etc and bake bere bannocks!! Maybe another time! Caroline(Louise's mum)
